Care and composition labels

The label is part of the product. The customer relies on it to care for the piece, and retailers and regulators check it.

What it contains

• Fibre composition percentages.
• Care instructions in standard symbols: washing, bleaching, drying, ironing and professional cleaning.
• Country of origin, the brand name and the size.

Choose care instructions honestly

Write what you have actually tested. If the fabric shrinks in hot washing, do not write that it can be hot washed.

Check your market’s requirements

Legal label requirements differ from market to market and usually include fibre composition. Check them before printing and before production.
