Production follow up

What is agreed on paper does not carry itself out. Regular follow up is what prevents last minute surprises.

Follow up milestones

1. Before starting: Approve the pre production sample, the fabric and the trims.
2. After materials arrive: Photos and video of the fabrics and trims.
3. Mid production: Photos of pieces being sewn and an early check.
4. Before shipping: A final inspection and an illustrated report.

Regular contact

Agree a fixed weekly update. Answering photos and questions quickly stops the factory from being late because it is waiting for you.

Count time realistically

Plan around the Lunar New Year holiday, when many factories close for weeks and production slips before and after. Ask the supplier about their calendar early.

Set a follow up schedule for your order with five milestones and dates counted from the purchase order, in the sample and production tracker.
