The 90 day private label launch plan

Now we put together what you learned in a plan with dates and owners. A small plan carried out beats a huge one on paper.

Three phases

1. Weeks 1 to 3: the base. The model, the niche, testing the idea and looking for suppliers.
2. Weeks 4 to 8: development. Vetting suppliers, samples, customisation, cost, pricing and the first quantity.
3. Weeks 9 to 13: launch. Compliance and intellectual property, the purchase order, inspection, photography and the first sales channel.

A weekly review

• What moved this week?
• Which supplier has not replied?
• What risks appeared?
• What is the most important step for next week?

The final checklist

• You chose the model, the niche and the customer.
• Your product is differentiated by costed changes.
• You vetted three suppliers and tried the samples.
• You worked out cost, pricing, quantity and cash.
• You checked compliance and protected your brand.
• You have a first sales channel and a marketing plan.
